Just to tell that trying to debug it, it crashes as soon as I try to get to the root of the volumes, where my attached image shows the problems.

Have you tried to reproduce this issue with one of the latest releases or nightly builds?

comment:3 Changed 22 months ago by Fernando Martín Morillo

Uff.. Sorry Thore not, but I'm a bit disconnected of the Amiga for some time because some family issues and things. I will try it when I am a bit better.
Thanks a lot for working in this and remind about this problem.

C: for example was looking wrong. Adding an icon to it it's shown right as you can see now in my latest screenshot. But you can see for example that "Work" already as an icon, but it isn't shown and you see a garbled image with lines for the icon.

The icon of the AmiKit: drive is ok, while the (default?) icons of WinDH_C: and Work: seem to be broken. The same applies for the (default?) icons used for AWEBC:, C: and CLIPS:

I assume that the broken icons are default icons, because the Windows partitions usually don't contain any Amiga icon files.

If possible, could be please attach these broken (?) icon files here? This should be def_disk.info, def_c.info, def_drawer.info in ENARC:Sys. Maybe there are special icons for certain drives/assigns instead of just the generic ones.

Since there are definitely working icons like the drawer icons of AmiSSL: or AmiTCP: please attach these as well, just for reference. There must be a difference between these icons.

If you see in iGame and iGame_2 screenshots, the C icon it's shown in one of the pictures and not in the other depending in what option I do open. I haven't changed any icon between the images.

The reason why you get different icons is due to the display mode. Just click on the drawer icon in the lists title bar to toggle the display mode. iGame.png shows the icons in simple mode. In this mode no specific icons will be loaded, but generic icons only. iGame_2.png shows the icons in normal mode. In this mode the individual icons will be loaded, only for files without a specific icon the generic icons will be used.

All these icons are displayed correctly for me, on both truecolor and 16 color screens. I also disabled all icon.library related patches.

Do you have any kind of patch running? I really have no explanation for this issue.

Do you still have any crashes when going to the volume list as initially stated?
