#95 closed bug (invalid)

Locale catalog (wrong charset id)

Reported by: Mikhail Malyshev Owned by:

Severity: minor Keywords:

Description

If for OS3 it is not critical, for OS4 it is (defined since 2004).
Russian catalog needs a proper charset id of 2104,
so that the font system does all the magic correctly.

This is a problem of FlexCat, that should set the flag correctly for Amiga-1251 encoded catalogs.

Nope, it is not important. OS4 can directly read UTF8 catalogs and that's what MUI4 does. Again (and hopefully the last time): Use transifex and nothing else – we won't support anything else in future!

It is not in utf format!

And this has a higher impact on sub classes that use universal catalogs for OS3 & OS4. Since you can't use UTF in that case.

Actually if things are to be done correctly, even utf based catalogs need a proper CSET id set for compliance and following the AmigaOS style guide.

There was a comparison missing in FlexCat which caused the russian catalog to get a codeset of 0 instead of 2104. As soon as there are any changes which trigger a nightly build everything should be fine again.
