#87 closed bug (fixed)

MUI-Gadgets have wrong colours/pens

Release Notes:

Fixed an old and ancient bug regarding color handling for brush images (*.mfX, *.mbX, *.mbr). Closing and restarting all MUI applications could lead to wrong remapped images, because these images were remapped only once and never again, even if the screen's palette changed in the meantime.

Description

Summary

certain MUI-Gadgets have wrong colours/pens

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open any MUI App (e.g. IBrowse)
  2. Close ALL MUI apps
  3. Open the App again. The pointer/scroll gadgets (or others) now use incorrect pens.

Notes

This bug has been in all version of MUI3.9 m68k so far, but I didn't know how to trigger it reliably until now.

A screenshot would be nice to know which images you are using. So far all images were colored correctly for me. And some basic informations about your system are welcome, too.

In 3945:

  • Imagespace.c: brush images (*.mf0/1, *.mb0/1, *.mbr) are now always remapped to the screen's colormap whenever they are used (again) for the first time. This is necessary as the screen's colormap might have changed while the image was not in use and hence would then be displayed with wrong colors. This closes #87.
