Description

Problem

When going to mui info, there is some comment that 3 files (of which one is btree.library) could be removed because there are no longer in use.
But when removing this file, some items in prefs and some programs like ibrowse and apdf would not work any longer.

Enhancement recommendation

Make mui keep btree.library.

That warning refers to btree.library located in MUI:Libs. It should be installed to LIBS: instead, which is assigned to some other location, usually SYS:Libs. From that point of view the warning is absolutely correct. Furthermore btree.library can end up in MUI:Libs if and only if it was copied there manually, because MUI's Installer script will copy it to the correct location, which is LIBS:

Neither IBrowse nor Apdf use btree.library. However they use Register class, which is a subclass of Title class now and Title class uses Objectmap class which in fact relies on btree.library to be available.

Move btree.library from MUI:Libs to LIBS: and everything will be ok. And use the supplied Installer script next time instead of copying libraries and classes around yourself unless you are told explicitly.
