Description

I don't know how they are showed by default in original version (Odyssey under MorphOS) however i noted that in some area of the browser (into the download window atmost) certain text are not correctly centered, i mean the normal text related to the file in download, but also the names of certain labels.

Of course it's just an eye candy and no more, however would be nice to have them more in line :-)

Maybe not all labels/text need such kind of centering, but some might ..

See the attached grab to verify how it look currently

Would you please tell me which texts exactly are not correctly centered? All centered texts in your screenshot are correctly centered and all other texts are correctly aligned to either the left or the right side. So what is wrong here?

Yes, the labels (and their associate files name below, aka the files name of the file you are downloading or still saved as completed/failed) that should be centered are:

1 - IN PROGRESS TAB

  • Name
  • Size
  • Progress
  • Detail
  • Speed
  • ETA
  • Path

(excluding "URL" and "Download page" labels)

2 - FINISHED TAB

  • Name
  • Path

(excluding "URL" and "Download page" labels)

3 - FAILED TAB

  • Name
  • Status
  • Path

(excluding "URL" and "Download page" labels)

Sorry, but I still have no clue what you want me to change. The alignment of column titles and contents is defined by the individual application. MUI does not influence it in any way.

And you are referring to a nightly build, of which you forgot to tell which one exactly you are referring to, and very obviously you are not (yet) using the most recent one. So please update to the latest nightly build.

And if you are still sure that MUI is doing something wrong then please take a new screenshot and highlight the areas where you want me to see the wrong alignment. But please keep in mind that it is the application's task to define what is aligned in which way.

Well i decided to open a specific MUI ticket because it looked like the good old ticket #3
Atleast it seems a similar issue and that one it was fixable from MUI, this one is a different thing ?

Actually I use a Nightly build (SVN r4040), but we have the same "problematic" allineation in latest public releases aswell

It's all in the grab i post you !

Recheck the grab above, for example have a look at the "Velocità" label … did you see that it's not correctly allineated ? :-)

This is definitely a different thing.

That nightly build is 3 weeks old already and there have been many changes to the list class inbetween. That's why probable issues should be checked against the most recent builds first. They might have been fixed already in the meantime.

Maybe, but it is hard to know what you should look at if you don't know what should be wrong. That's why I asked to to highlight the possible wrong areas with a red circle using an image manipulation program ;)

According to the Odyssey source code the column contents are aligned like this:

  • Name left
  • Size right
  • Progress left
  • Detail left
  • Speed right
  • ETA right
  • Path left
  • URL left
  • Download page left

However, all column titles are left aligned.

I think there is nothing to fix in MUI. According to the aligment set by Odyssey everything is displayed correctly. So it is just your personal feeling that something might be wrong, but this is beyond my skills to fix ;)
